Why Reclaim Your Free Spirit?

Kristen A. Hemming

CHt, MEd, RP

If you look at the definition of free spirit in the dictionary, it says an independent or uninhibited person.   For me, being a free spirit are those things, but the deeper meaning for me is feeling safe enough to speak my mind without caring that my opinion may be different from others.  That I do not take ownership of others views or opinions of me.  That I am comfortable in my own body and my appearance.

I was free spirited as a child, which was a point of contention for my mother. Often, the arguments were so bad between the two of us, she would toss up her hands exasperated, and say "I'm the one that wanted the free spirit". As I grew up,  I learned what was expected because I wanted to be the good daughter.  As time went on, my free spirited nature began to fade replaced by conforming to those around me.  I lost my voice, was bullied, and began to believe other's opinions of me which created a lot of anxiety and low self esteem.

It wasn't until I started hypnotherapy training back in 2011 that things began to change.  When I completed the training in 2012, I was a different person.  I reconnected to my free spirited self and I haven't looked back.

I am a Clinical Hypnotherapist.  I hold three hypnotherapy certifications from one of the top hypnotherapy schools in Canada and have been certified by the International Medical & Dental Hypnotherapy Association and the International Association of Counsellors & Therapists.

I also hold a Master degree in Education.  Prior to starting my business in 2014, I  advised university students (ages 18 to 26 years old) on coping strategies to manage stress and anxiety in a professional programs setting for close to ten years.

"I was skeptical starting this program as I was not sure how the hypnosis was going to work.  I was pleasantly surprised and would highly recommend this program for anyone.  Kristen is very professional and knowledgeable in this field.  She cares about you and what your goals are and is there to help you every step of the way.  She makes you feel very comfortable and is very easy to talk to.  You don't feel you are being rushed through your session."  Client C.A.

"I just had a session and I was blown away.  I am a believer in alternative therapies, but I had no clue how quickly this works.  Ms. Hemming is very pleasant to deal with and extremely supportive.  Well worth looking into." Client AW

"Initially I was a bit skeptical of the process, but with each session I continue to be pleasantly surprised.  Kristen is excellent!  I feel comfortable and relaxed during the session.  I am truyl amazed at the outcomes and insight I receive.  That's the straight goods!  I see subtle but definite changes in my everday decision making and I attribute much of these changes in my everyday decision making and I attribute much of these changes to the hypnotherapy.  I would highly recommend Kristen to all who are open to exploring what is hidden away in their mind." Client L.N.

"At the outset, I was a bit wary of the process but with frank discussion and some research, I decided to go ahead with it.  Kristen is excellent! I felt safe and relaxed during the sessions and was encouraged by the outcomes and insight I received.  I see positive changes in my day-to-day decision making and I attribute much of this to Kristen's skill with hypnotherapy.  I strongly recommend her to aid in exploring what is hidden away in your mind!"
